I happened across this street sign a bit ago, and couldn’t resist showing it here, considering our Harvest Moon discussions.
Interesting that the Court is a dead end, but the Drive plows on through. There’s probably some deep meaning to that… but I’m not sure what it is.

Hmmm … so is this a sign? (pun intended!) Perhaps our research and work on a HM:O game would be better spent elsewhere.
If it’s a sign, I’m just reading it as a good thing. There’s a whole series of roads with the Harvest Moon prefix there in that area. There’s plenty of places to visit and mine ideas from, in other words, but certain subsets may be dead ends.
So… a judicial system (Court? One pun deserves another, after all…) might not be the best idea for an HM:O game. Yeah, I can’t see a big demand for a legal system within an MMO.
This could very well be a sign. Yes, pun intended
We need to set up our office there, so we can use it as our basis for calling our game “Harvest Moon: Online” >:)
It does look like a nice area, but it’s mostly residential. That said, working from a home office does mean no commute, and there *are* tax tricks for home offices… now, the trick is finding a place in the neighborhood for sale that *isn’t* still riding the housing bubble.
[...] We’ll stick with the space MMO platform right now because I like the ideas thrown about thus far and I’m going to try to stick to something beyond a couple of posts from now on That and … fate has decided we should NOT pursue HM:O. [...]
