My Art Director here at work just mentioned our new NinjaBee website, found hereabouts:
We’re also running a sale on A Kingdom For Keflings on the PC. It’s been a significant hit on XBox Live, and it’s really cool to see it on the PC (especially since it’s the only way I can play it at home)! Thanks to the guys who took the beta testing plunge when I mentioned it earlier!
I’m very happy I found your blog now…I’m also a big fan of Kingdom for Keflings(although my friends hate when I play it when they are there, too boring to watch). /end comment spam for the day.
Well, then, it’s a good thing we’re doing local multiplayer for the sequel, eh?
It sure is
Although the majority of my closer friends are not gamers, which a blessing to me. Many of them actually enjoy just sitting on my laptop watching the cool parts of the games and facebook/youtube/whatever when it’s not visually stunning. Those friends probably won’t get excited for it, but I have those that will.
I’d love to see more Kefling roles, and less confusing building paths. It’s been a little bit since I played, but I recall it getting a little unwieldy getting parts from so many different buildings as you approach “end-game.” It also gets a little grindy at times. No offensive intended, I enjoyed the game! Just constructive criticism.
I’ll have to play it again, if feedback is welcomed.(And utilized when appropriate.)
Yup, it’s a bit grindy in the midgame, that’s a common complaint. We’ve addressed it a bit and tried to smooth out the curve in the sequel. I guess we’ll see how well we’ve managed to iron it out this time around.
I just decided to buy the Keflings. It is even less than 10 bucks in EUR. Though the incredible amount of 5-10 $/EUR game bargains I bought this year is getting a bit out of hand!
Extremely OT:
I just read you on “Stabbed Up”, regarding SW:TOR. You made me start thinking about SW:TOR and a FAIR business model. Maybe they will do it and sell content and not time? This would be a major revolution, finishing what Guild Wars began.
I sure hope they do. They are in an unrivaled position to do so and make a killing at it. Their design even makes sense for it. To me, it’s a no-brainer.
Thanks for buying our little game! I’ve loved the game since playing it ages ago on the office XBox (I worked a LOT on the game, so it’s also kind of my baby), but without a machine at home, I’ve had to wait for the PC port.
Today is a yummy day.
I’m glad you pointed out the site. I was looking for iPhone Outpost Kaloki, except that of course I couldn’t remember how to spell Kaloki and the iPhone games don’t actually have “outpost” in the title. (Slight oversight there, guys…) Thanks! I will be checking out the PC Keflings too.
I’ve wondered why we didn’t put “Outpost” on them, too. I keep forgetting to ask. Thanks for stopping by, Jeff!
Just bought Keflings. Its a lovely game Tesh, well done. It has also proved a big hit with my kids. Yesterday it rained all day but they happily whiled away a few hours taking turns building up a village.
