Dear Kings Isle,
It’s nice to think that someone listened, even if it was just a coincidence.
You’ve also earned some money from at least one fan, and maybe another. *waves at the good Cap’n* This is effectively a lifetime sub for all current content, almost a Guild Wars sort of purchase. I love that business model, and I really like Wizard 101.
Sincerely,
Tesh

Grrrr, and here I am all budgeted out for the next few weeks (not to mention trying to save for a Kindle)…
I know the feeling. I’ve just been lucky in that I’ve been sitting on some money that I’ve wanted to send to these guys, and figured it’s a good time to do so.
Beside that, if they will do this once, maybe they will do it again. I wish I could see their numbers on whether this turns out profitable, since that may well make a rerun more likely.
I took the plunge and bought the 60,000 Crowns and discovered another very nice feature of having linked my own and my son’s accounts as parent/child. The 60,000 Crowns were purchased and delivered to my account, but in the Account Management page I was able to Transfer half of them to my son’s account in one quick, fast, painless transaction. I then asked him how many Crowns he had.
“5,000,” he replied. (We got 5,000 Crowns each as a consolation gift from a GM after I inquired about getting him the Refer-a-Friend Vanity Pet and was told it couldn’t be done.)
“Log out and log back in again,” I told him.
He did so and gleefully replied, “Now I have 35,000!”
“Don’t go spending them all in the Dueling area,” I cautioned him.
We then met up in-game, bought the Marleybone area and completed the last of his quests on his highest level character. Next on the agenda is Moo Shu, so Tesh, maybe I’ll run into you in there.
Sweet.
They really do a lot of things right over at the KI offices. I’ll keep an eye out for you!
