Woo, weather!
I’m pretty sure it bugged people out on the roads, but it sure made for some nice photo opportunities to wake up to (which is why I bothered posting about this, of course). I do wonder what it did to gardens, though. That might wind up being bad.
Wow. And I thought Scottish weather was fickle
I was hoping you got pictures! Those are some great ones. You can really see how much we got in some of them! Yikes! That second pic looks so, so frigid. I’m cold just looking at it! And of course, I love that great arch of snow from the shovel. She’s the best.
It’s crazy. The kids were playing in that frog sandbox the day before, almost summer-like. Then, overnight… poof. Great pictures, though (and I’ve been looking for an excuse to share that shovel action shot).
Gordon, I think I’d like Scotland.
It’s amazing how much of the world looks like Scotland really. A trip through the Highlands is really worth it but it is a beautiful place. OK, I live in England so it’s not my homeland but it’s definitely a nice place to be outdoors. Me and a few friends climbed Ben Nevis in June a few years back, we had 70mph winds and blizzard conditions on the top, so you thought April snow was bad?
That is a fair amount of snow. Looks nice though as general winter pictures.
Looks like you had it worse than we had recently, although that is what can happen in April here (we have the term “April weather” to indicate pretty random and quick weather changes).
After 5+ months of snow we are starting to get a bit tired of it, so when we had some additional snowfall last week after some progression towards spings, it hurt a bit. But most of it melted away soon after, although still some patches of snow left.
This snow was gone in two days, most of it gone within 24 hours. April really is weird sometimes here. I love the snow, but it does cause some problems here and there.
ZP, we had near-blizzard conditions here a couple of months or so ago. I’m weird in that I actually don’t mind it. I’d much rather be cold than hot. (My wife and sister think I’m crazy, though.)
